well, this isn't required, but it would make stuff easier, especially when there's a lot of drops and you're in a big party who just wants to move on faster and faster...so you don't have to scroll over the items and see if they're yours (i know, they're greyed out if they're not, but sometimes they aren't) you just press a key and it goes around to all the drops in the area that are yours and picks them up.

this could also help if you're soloing, killing a lot of enemies for who-knows what reason (

) and there's tons of drops. instead of clicking on them all, you just hit the \ key and pick them all up!

There used to be a key that would target the nearest dropped item (a bit like C, but for objects), but it was taken out before release. The reason was undoubtedly to make it harder for botters.

yeah in beta there was a key like C and V ... or was it V ... can't remember ... oh wait ... semi colon .... that was it.

well, i don't see how taking out a key like this would make it harder for botters. it's not like they have fingers that get tired after clicking on all of their drops. it might speed up their process, by 6 or 7 seconds, but i think our benifit from it would be better than the disadvantage of having botters being able to move on 6 seconds sooner.

Lets say we have a bot that runs a farming run 24 hours a day and each run lasts 5 minutes.

That's 8640 seconds more botting time which equates to another 9 runs.

In 9 runs i could make perhaps 15k at the basic merchant price.

I am strongly in favor of this as it should be a relatively easy thing to implement. Especially since items are all the same size in Guild Wars.

When I am really into a mission, sometimes I forget about loot, or might miss some loot somewhere, especially if the team rushes onwards without a 2nd glance. So a button to collect all my assigned loot in the area would help.

There was a thread that mentioned this idea a while ago.

I don't think this is necessary, but being able to pick things up FASTER might be good. You have to watch the animation of your character bending down to pick up the item before you can pick up another.

Or is it just me that dislikes this...

nope, i find it really annoying too. this game just needs to be more customizable ... i'm sure there are some people who like the "realistic" bending down to get items, but it'd be nice to have a way to take it off

And coming from me, that means you are past the epitome of lazy. Laziness itself would call you lazy, as I have just done so.

However, selecting the nearest item that is yours is a good function, and I do understand why it was taken out before release. However, I want it back
